Scenes from my Austin trip

I love music. Most of my friends say I have an insane gift for remembering lyrics to obscure one-hit wonders from the 80's and 90's. So a trip to Austin, the Live Music Capital, was top of the list.

The downtown area is lined with historical and charming buildings. We noticed a lot of free standing shack-like structures popping up in between buildings, many of which were BBQ or taco shacks.

Austin has is home to many live music venues.

They've got lots of bars. East 6th street is more of a college town while West 6th Street and 5th Street are apparently for the mature crowd.

There's definitely lots of booze. BTW, Pinot Grigios are hard to find on East 6th Street, but beers are rampant.

Restaurant posts to come..

cool you went to Austin! I've always wanted to go. They are the original "Keep It Weird" city.
